Serving the Lord in Kenya & Tanzania

Dear Co-Laborers in the Lord,

Greetings from Kenya in the precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We hope that this greeting finds you well in the grace and peace of our Lord. Thank you for your prayers and support of love, which enable us to continue serving the people and labor in the tasks that He has placed before us. We praise God for what He has done in recent months and share that with you below.

1. Praise God for the 43rd graduation of Bible College of East Africa (Kenya).

Twenty seven men and women graduated on Saturday, November 30. The ceremony was a time of praise and thanksgiving for the grace of God, which sustained the graduates during their two to four years of study at the College. The ceremony also acknowledged four graduates of the Bachelor of Ministry (B.Min) program, whose degree is awarded by the Far Eastern Bible College in Singapore. Please join us in prayer for all the graduates as they begin their ministries at various locations in the region. We pray that they will continue to depend upon the Lord in prayer, and that the Lord will use them in precious and mighty ways.

2. Praise God for the start of a new academic year at Bible College of East Africa (Kenya).

January 2014 marked the start of a new academic year at BCEA (Kenya). The College now serves 111 students from Kenya, Tanzania, Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, and South Korea. BCEA (Tanzania) also began a new academic term with 23 students. We give God the glory for sustaining the training ministries of BCEA on these two campuses. Please pray for all the students, that they might engage in their training with diligence and endurance. It is our prayer that the students will complete their courses well, with the grace that the Lord provides. The faculty also needs your remembrance in prayer. May the Lord grant wisdom and continued passion for their task.

3. Praise God for a new mission house at the campus of BCEA (Kenya).

During the second half of last year, we began construction of the second mission house on campus grounds. We are thankful for the recent completion of the building. The new facility is a small but beautiful residential facility with two bedrooms and a shared sitting room. We thank God for His continued provision of our needs.

4. Praise God for His grace in our extension project in Rwanda.

We have been praying and working toward the extension of the BCEA ministry to Rwanda for a few years now, and we thank the Lord for His guidance and provision in response to our desire to evangelize this region. Just recently, our application for a construction permit was approved by the government, and we were able to hold a groundbreaking service on the site on February 2. Over a thousand community residents and visitors were in attendance to praise the Lord and to pray together on this day. We request your special prayers for this project.

The church begun on the ministry grounds continues its growth by His sustaining grace. We thank God for the growth of this church. During our latest visit, we met four Rwandese youths who committed to joining BCEA next term in May, and we are blessed to witness the Lord’s continued work for the saving of the lost in this country.

5. Please be in prayer for the 50th anniversary of the founding of BCEA.

February 8 was our 49th anniversary, and we are praying and preparing for the commemoration and thanksgiving service at the 50th anniversary of the College next year. God has been faithful in sustaining, providing, and sending many faithful servants to the ministry these decades, and it is our fervent prayer that He will continue to use this ministry as training grounds for those He has called.

Thank you for your continued prayers. God bless.

  2. For effective gospel ministries at the churches for the saving of souls

In the Bond of Christ,
