The Bjur Family

Rev. James and wife Melody. They have four children, with the youngest (Deborah Susan) in Chile. Jim was appointed 1986 and served one term in Kenya. Melody was appointed in 1991 and married shortly after. The Bjurs moved to Chile in 1992 and settled in Chile’s northernmost city, Arica. A church was started in 1993 with the dedication of the building in 2001. “Manantial (fountain) Fundamental Biblical Presbyterian Church” (member of the Fundamentalist Presbyterian Church of Chile) ministers today with an active youth group, VBS, Ladies Bible study, an on-line seminary, and other outreaches.
