Serving the Lord in Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda

July, 2025

Greetings from East Africa in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a privilege to share with you the things that God has done and continues to do.

1.  Please Pray for Open Doors of Ministry

The Apostle Paul requests prayer for opportunity to preach the Gospel: “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak” (Col. 4:2-4).  We ask for continued prayer for the work in Rwanda.  I believe there is a well-known and uncredited saying which states, “There is no pain greater than to be helpless.”  This saying captures our sentiments here on the field.  I have served as a minister since 1982, and as these four decades flash before my eyes, I wonder if there was ever a time that was as challenging as now.  After fulfilling all requirements and acquiring accreditation from the relevant authorities in August 2023, the College ministry still awaits final approval at the highest level.

Knowing that God is in control of all things, we trust that He will do His work in His own way and in His own time.  We continue to wait upon the Lord and prayerfully hope that He will use us as effective instruments for His work amongst His people in Rwanda.

2. We Praise God for Precious Opportunities in the Progress of the Gospel

It is our privilege to support and co-labor with graduates of the Bible College of East Africa (BCEA).  Praise God for church buildings under construction to accommodate congregations served by alumni in Kenya – currently under construction is one in Mitaboni and four in Kericho.  We also thank God for the faithfulness of one brother, who graduated from BCEA and has been pastoring in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.  Despite security issues in that region, a church building is now under construction after several years of worshipping under difficult conditions.

We thank God for the privilege of witnessing 667 graduates, while serving at Bible College of East Africa, and we praise the Lord for those who are scattered across the continent for the proclamation of the Gospel.  While most of them are serving in places where freedom of religion and worship is granted, we ask that you pray with us for those who face limited freedom and opportunity.  There will come a day when all will know that “the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men” (Dan. 4:17).  May He grant us faith and wisdom to live as believers amongst those who do not confess this to be true.  May our testimony be as follows: “But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city  (Heb. 11:16).  May the Lord be with you, your family, and your labors for Him.

In the bond of Christ,
