“In God we boast all the day long, and praise Your name forever. Selah.” Psalm 44:8
Dear brothers and friends in Christ,
We greet you in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and hope that you are receiving the richest blessings from our good Heavenly Father. We take this opportunity to wish you a happy and prosperous New Year, filled with the abundant grace of our Lord for you and your families. We also thank each of you for your prayers, which encourage us, and for your financial support.
Trip to Southern Chile
We are very grateful to the Lord for the opportunity we had to travel to Chillán, Chile, for the meetings of the Presbytery of Chile, held from October 11–12, 2025. During these meetings, matters related to the Lord’s work and its needs were discussed. These meetings made us realize the great need for workers, both in mission points and in churches. We must pray that the Lord of the harvest will send workers into His field so that the gospel may continue to spread throughout Chile.
This trip gave Janeth the opportunity to visit her mother, Eulogia Quezada, who has been bedridden for several years and whose health condition is very delicate.
While in Chillán, we were invited to a small town called “Pueblo Seco.” There, a mission point of the Philadelphia Church is located, where Janeth worked for four years when she was single. She was pleasantly surprised to see that those children are now young adults. Specifically, two of them (Juan Bastia and José Medina) are leaders in that mission point and are faithfully sustaining the Lord’s work. We are joyful to share that by the end of March it will transition from a mission point to an established church. We can clearly see that the Word of the Lord does not return void; rather, God causes it to bear fruit for His glory and honor. We praise the Lord for this wonderful news!
Manantial Church
On Reformation Day, October 31, Jonathan was invited by Pastor Jim Bjur to his church, “El Manantial,” and had the privilege of speaking about the 16th century Reformation. This brought him great joy, as he loves church history, and was also happy to share fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the faith in Christ Jesus.
Women’s Fellowship
On Wednesday, November 26, the sisters of our church’s Women’s Fellowship concluded their year of activities with a special Christmas gathering. There were testimonies, a dinner, a gift exchange, and games. Many sisters who attended throughout the year were able to participate, and in addition, three new women attended and heard about the impact God has had on the lives of some of the sisters. This meeting was a great blessing for them.
An Unexpected Visit
In December, our son Jonathan visited us for a week, and it was a surprise, as he arrived at our home without prior notice. We thank our Lord for this much-needed time as parents. Please pray for him, that God would keep and protect him, since his work exposes him to many dangers on a daily basis, as he is a police officer in the US. We ask that you pray not only for his physical protection, but also for his spiritual life.
Christmas Program
Praise God for the Christmas program held on December 21. It was very well attended, with many visitors, including some of Janeth’s family members, who heard the gospel of our EMMANUEL—God with us. It was very special with everyone participating—children, youth, and adults—presenting a beautiful Christmas program. Glory be to God alone. At the conclusion of the program, we enjoyed a happy time of fellowship with refreshments, canapés, and pan de Pascua, and every child in attendance received a bag of candy.
Youth Class
Together with the youth of our church, we took a trip to the beach on January 7th. Since Arica has several beautiful beaches, it was an excellent time filled with wonderful testimonies. It was very rewarding to hear what God means to them, along with a meditation on God’s Word. It was a time of relaxation and reflection as we contemplated the greatness of God through His beautiful creation.
Prayer Requests
- A discipleship course in the month of February; there are already three brothers interested.
- Our youngest daughter Melissa, that God would guide her and reveal His will to her.
In Christ,
