According to the World Watch List, in 2020, 340 million Christians faced persecution, 4,761 were killed for their faith, 4,488 churches were attacked or destroyed, and 4,277 individuals were arrested and imprisoned (often without trial) for their faith. The most dangerous places are North Korea and sub-Saharan Africa.
