Judith and Peter pray earnestly to our Lord Jesus Christ for whom they brave the hatred of His enemies. They beg Him for relief from the awful oppression laid upon them through the last year. They have survived alive, thanks to the promises of His Word and Spirit. “Remember, dear Lord, relief upon their supporters in their prayers and pockets, and upon those who suffer because of us. Lord Jesus, pity! As You intercede before the Throne and Mercy Seat of the Father, and before the many witnesses who have finished their course with Joy, may You tell our cries to the Father, and lay their tears upon Thy Mercy Seat! No scrap of righteousness of their own do they have to cover them, but only that of Your perfect life lived and Your atoning death upon the cross for our sins. Amen and Amen.”
