October 2026
Dear Co-Laborers in the Lord,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This past dry season was the hottest and driest that I have experienced in decades. We thank the Lord for His continued sustenance and grace.
1. Bible College of East Africa (Kenya) began its third term of 2026.
Classes commenced on September 1 with 76 students enrolled to study the Word of God and to train for future ministries and supportive roles in the work of the Lord. We ask for your special prayer for the lecturers, missionaries, and students as they fulfill their calling with the strength and wisdom God abundantly provides. In particular, please join us in prayer for the 55th graduation ceremony, set to take place on November 21, God willing.
2. International Covenant College (Rwanda) began its second semester of 2026.
Classes began on September 9 in two departments – Early Childhood Development and Digital Media Technology. We are currently in the processes of assessments under Higher Education Council to offer two programs in Theology: 1) Bachelor of Theology in Biblical Studies, and 2) Postgraduate Diploma in Theology. We have acquired preliminary approval and are awaiting detailed inspection by the authorities. Please be in special prayer for the theology programs, that ICC might be used by the Lord to train ministers of the Gospel for this region.
International Covenant College has been designated as the first officially accredited Korean language learning center in Rwanda by the Korean government. Under the name “King Sejong Institute Kigali,” ICC now hosts Korean language classes in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of
Korea in Rwanda and King Sejong Institute Foundation. Three classes of twenty students each (sixty total) are studying with teachers certified and funded by the Korean Ministry of Education. Classes began on August 25.
Karembure Glory Academy School – demonstration kindergarten for ICC’s Early Childhood Development – began its new academic year on September 1. A fresh batch of 127 children enrolled for the new academic year. For one year, these children will attend daily chapel with teachings from a Rwandese graduate of BCEA(Kenya), learn new memory verses each week, and undergo studies based on our very own intensive version of the curriculum set by Rwanda Education Board (REB).
We praise God for the privilege of participating in His Work in East Africa. We pray that all who visit these ministries will hear the Gospel, witness the work of God, experience the love shown in the death of Christ, and come to a saving knowledge of God and His Son. May He continue to be with you and your work in Him, and may you bear much fruit for His glory.
In the bond of Christ,
Kyung Soo (Mark) Kim and Hang Sook (Hannah) Rhee
