Dear friends and co-workers,
Greetings from Tanzania in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you for spending time with us, comforting us, encouraging us, praying for us, and supporting us during our last vacation visits to South Korea and Singapore. It has now been almost a month since we returned to Tanzania. Please continue to pray for the Tanzania missions.
Thankfully, my wife and I received our Tanzanian visas. We are grateful to be able to serve God here for two more years. Thank you for your concern and prayer.
Classes at BCEA Tanzania started on August 9th. Currently we have 22 students for this semester. Since there were three students that did not arrive at the college by the opening day of the semester, they were asked to come next semester. This semester, for the first time, we have invited a Korean missionary, Rev. Ma, to teach the students a “Computer Basics” course. I trust that students who have never seen a computer and cannot even turn one on, will be able to learn something. Please pray for the students and faculty this semester.
ChaeWon teaches “The Parable of Jesus,” “Numbers,” “Romans,” and “Pianoforte” this semester, and I teach “Post-Reformation History”, “First and Second Kings” and “Hebrew Elementary”.
Construction on campus is still in progress. We are renovating a classroom into a computer lab. We are also building a girl’s dormitory. The foundation work has already been completed, and the walls are being built. Please pray for financial support as well as safety.
The Bible project is still in progress. I think we will be able to distribute around 500 Swahili Bibles this semester as well. Please pray with us for continued financial support.
The Chamchem Kindergarten is currently on vacation. School starts for the little ones on September 5th. Please pray for our young children to grow in their faith in God.
Finally, our two daughters are now studying in Far Eastern Bible College of Singapore. Please pray for them to be diligent in their studies.
In Christ,
Rev. Dr. Park SK & Dr. Ra CW
