Serving the Lord in Tanzania

February, 2025

Dear friends and supporters of God’s ministry. We would like to give you a short update on what the Lord has accomplished since our last letter, and also to show some of what He is doing now.

1. Chemchem Kindergarten

Last year, on November 30, we had a kindergarten graduation service with a total of 18 students graduating. We pray that the Lord will be with them and help them keep the Gospel in their hearts, which they have learned from kinder-garten. Please pray especially for the students from Muslim families.

We opened our kindergarten again this year on January 13, with a total of 50 students studying. Pray with us for the recruitment of new students. Despite providing quality education for free, parents are often indifferent towards their children’s education thus not allowing them to come to kindergarten.

2. Glory Bible Presbyterian Church

There were many events last December. First, we were able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Christmas worship service and we provided gifts to all the church members.  With this in mind, pray that Glory BP Church will always be a place where the gospel of Jesus Christ is powerfully proclaimed and God’s work of salvation overflows.

The most important event was the Vacation Bible School. During the College vacation, the BCEA students had an intensive course on the children’s ministry. The courses were under the supervision of three lecturers (Dr. Ra Chaewon, Park JongHwi, and Park JongEun). Following this preparation, they participated in our VBS Outreach Project in three local churches– Glory BP Church

(BCEA Campus Church), Emmaus Presbyterian Church, and Zion Nasholi African Mission

Evangelism Church. Many students joined in VBS, more than we expected. On average, we had 115 students per day at the three churches. Miss Park JongHwi and Miss Park JongEun (who visited Tanzania for her vacation) shared the gospel with the children. We provided not only the Word of God during these sessions, but also hearty meals, snacks, and plenty of stationaries as gifts for the children. Please continue to pray for fruit from the VBS Outreach Project.

3. Bible College of East Africa Tanzania

BCEA started a new semester on January 6.  Seven new students joined, making a total of 29 students that are studying. Please pray that the new students may adapt well to college life and that the remaining students may diligently study God’s Word. Please also pray that the Lord may grant the lecturers sufficient grace and wisdom as we are offering 26 credits this semester.

Also, in order to train the college students to strengthen their learning capacity and interpret the Bible more accurately, starting this semester, we have offered a new course on Greek reading in addition to Greek/Hebrew Elementary for some qualified students. Pray that those students, who are going through these difficult processes, can have more humble hearts and deeper perspective on the Word, and that heavenly wisdom and strength will be granted to the professors in charge.

We are continuing all these precious soul-winning ministries with the help of your prayers and support. Please continue to remember these things, and keep us in your prayers.
