Missionaries-at-Large

March, 2025

Dear Friends in Christ,

Greetings in the precious Name of Jesus. We want to share with you some of the blessings from the Lord in recent months.

Looking back to December, we needed to thank those of you who gave towards a Christmas gift for our Kenya churches. The Sunday school teachers (54 of them) each received a thermos. All the children received candy and the 34 churches had a big Christmas dinner.  The men bought goats (one for each church), kilos of rice, flour, oil, onions, tomatoes, and cases of Coca-Cola. It was a wonderful dinner that was enjoyed by nearly 2,800 folks. Again, thank you for making that day special for so many!

After 14 years of prayer for the Bethel Bible and Technical School, the Lord has answered with a carpentry class for pastors and elders, as a tent making ministry. A teacher has agreed to teach for two years. Though each of the six students must pay a tuition fee, they are finding it difficult to buy wood and supplies for projects. Pray with them that they will be able to come up with money for these materials. They truly want to learn.

The Lord has also supplied for new corrugated iron roofs for the mission buildings in Isovya. The original ones were nearly 25 years old, and had started to rust. This project had to be done before the buildings were destroyed. Again, we thank the Lord for those who gave to this project. It has been a great comfort to all to see these buildings secure.

A great praise to be shared is that some of the buildings there in Isovya have now been wired for electricity. Yes, electric is now out in the bush! Pray with us that this project will soon be completed and actually available when a SOME team arrives in June. And speaking of the SOME team for 2025, they will be in Isovya for three weeks. The Romanko family will lead the team. Dave and his wife, Tami, have been there twice before and are familiar with the work. The team will help in the Bible School, various churches, the carpentry class, and assist in placing Gideon bibles in schools. Their boys, John Michael and Christopher, will make friends in playing soccer, and be great helpers in the ministry. However, there is still plenty of room for more team members.

If you are at all interested in going to Kenya on this SOME team, the time is almost running out! Contact us as soon as possible to learn more. Write us at 243 Forrest Rd, Hurricane, WV 24462, or call the IBPFM office (610-279-0952).

Just a quick closing thought about our Bible Club here at our home, with the little ones. They have learned most of the books of the Bible, and are starting to learn the Children’s Catechism. They are indeed a joy to teach. Pray with us for this outreach.

Thank you all for your prayers and “help” in so many areas. God does answer prayer.

Yours in His love and service,Johnson sig
