God’s Servant in Texas

It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Greetings, in the Name of Jesus,

First, I want to thank all of you who have given so faithfully these past months. I appreciate your

faithfulness in doing such.  May God bless, strengthen, and keep you. Over this past year I have lost three supporters.  If anyone would care to help with my support, I would be grateful and appreciative.

Secondly, I am thankful for God’s provision during these summer months.  One day in July, during the hottest temperatures, our house air-conditioner stopped working. It reminded us of what it was like before air conditioning. Thankfully it was off for less than 48 hours, as the landlord was able to send the repair man.  Yes, we have survived these many hot days. Someone had said that here in the south we have had 100 days above 100 degree temperatures! And we managed by not going out unless necessary. I did not realize it was so extreme because I don’t leave the house except to go to church or the doctor’s appointment. Thankfully, I do not have many of them.

Looking back we had a quiet summer with the boys. Because of the high temperatures they were not able to play outside very much and quietly stayed indoors playing on their cellphones. Now that they are back in school again, the house is quiet (until they come home from school).  Thankfully, they are doing well.  Would you please pray that they will continue to do well in school?

I have been staying busy working on putting stamps into an album. I am nearly finished with my fifth album, which will go to my grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.  I have enjoyed doing this for them. I am also enjoying the fellowship at the church I am attending.  Following messages on several book studies, the pastor had been doing a series of messages on different subjects. He is now in Hebrews 11, the great faith chapter. It will take a number Sundays to go through the whole chapter. It is delightful to renew each person’s name found in that chapter.

Again, I want to THANK YOU for your continued support, so faithfully given. I am very grateful and do appreciate each gift, I pray for the Lord to bless and keep each one. Also, I thank you for your prayers.  I feel it is by God’s grace, through your prayers, that keep us safe and provide for our needs.

                                                                                                 Sincerely, in Him,
                                                                                                 Joan Davenport
