Dear Prayer Partners,
We greet you in the name of Jesus Christ, who is with us today and gives us peace and assurance.
The year 2024, seemed to be a period when we had less and less time to live with peace of mind and unwavering faith due to the chaos and difficulties of the world. Well it has passed by and now we stand at the starting line of 2025.
Proverbs 4:23 reads, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”. So, how will we begin the New Year? We begin by guarding our hearts with all diligence. With that in mind, we are still looking for a suitable location for a Christian middle school in Patzicia. We have been visiting new locations. The situation is still the same, but we will continue to look into it. It is a long journey with no end in sight. But, please continue to pray for this project.
English Bible Reading Classes; We start with the Gospel of John.
- Scholarship Class: In 2025, we started supporting five students; there are two college students, one college entrance exam preparation student, and two high school students. We are providing individual English intensive study guidance and discipleship training, centered on Bible reading for three female students. Among them, Chumil is a college student majoring in architecture. We have classes with her on the campus of the University of San Carlos. We are so thankful that the college student ministry, which was suspended due to COVID-19, has resumed though now with this one. Would you please pray that this may be a small spark, but that it may become a big fire to spread the Gospel in the campus?
- Technical School Teachers’ Class: Here we teach simple English conversation for 13 teachers of the Alan Huyu Technical School. We pray that they will come to personally know Jesus Christ while reading the Gospel of John. Please pray that the seeds of the Word will become precious fields that bear fruit in each of them.
- Technical School Student Class: Alan Huyu Technical School students attend classes for two weeks and do internships at companies for another two weeks. The two-week practice period becomes their personal career history, so it is a practical school with a good employment rate. For high school sophomores, we teach simple English conversations and read the Bible together. Please pray that they will come to know Jesus while reading the Bible.
- Public Middle School Student Class: This year an English Bible study class was started at the Tres de Junio Middle School, located at the entrance of Patzicia. For middle school sophomores, we start by teaching basic English vocabulary. We read simple Bible verses together. So, please pray that the students will take the class with an open mind. The schedule for the Sumpango Public School class has not been decided yet, but the individual English Bible classes for two students is continuing. With that in mind, would you pray for Christian and Michelle, who are entering their first year of high school.
Family News
As parents, we ask that you continue in your prayers for our son Joshua. He has various plans, but nothing is clear at this moment. Please remember him in your prayers that Joshua will know that the Lord is the one who guides his steps, and that he is to obey His guidance well, to bear godly fruit in 2025.
Dear prayer partners, thank you for praying with us and supporting us. Our prayer for you is to guard your heart, the source of life, well, and to be free from worldly greed, jealousy, and anger, so that 2025 will be filled with the fruit of life.
