Ministering for the Lord in Brazil, Cameroon & USA

June, 2025

 Dear Friends and Supporters,

We went to our Presbytery meeting in Charlotte, NC, in March, and Ken preached on the text above, referring to the church in Philadelphia in Revelation 3.  The church in Philadelphia was small, with a little strength, like our small Fundamentalist Presbyterian churches today.  Yet, even being small, they had an open door before them for ministry.  We, too, have that same open door today.  Let us take advantage of it.

BRAZIL

The fall edition of our journal, “The Fundamentalist,” was sent out in March.  We had the lead article on “Trump and the Future of America and the World!”  This article, by a Baptist pastor, pointed out that, in spite of the blessing of Donald Trump being elected, he cannot solve the deeper spiritual problems in the US and the world today.

We also had an article entitled, “Anita Bryant, Activist Against Gay Rights, Dies at 84 Years Old.”  We pointed out the great stand she took against the homosexuals, how she suffered for it, and her Christian testimony.  We will discuss the other articles in our next prayer letter.

CAMEROON

Just today, we received a picture of the students of a new Bible School, which is being run by a former student.  We continue to help support him. If you remember, he was the one that received the pallet of books and tracts we sent a couple of years ago.  We have enclosed a picture of him and the students.

USA

We also continue our circuit ministry, filling the pulpit in one of these churches each Sunday: Marcus Hook, Kingsville, and Collingswood. There was also a good ministry in Marcus Hook and Collingswood on Memorial Day weekend.  The Collingswood church had a table and gave out many tracts and much literature at their annual Mayfair in Collingswood.  The Marcus Hook church marched in the Memorial Day parade (left) on Saturday, and we also gave out many tracts and much literature.

Smyrna Town Council

Last year, the town in which we live, Smyrna, DE (pop. 14,000), doubled everyone’s property taxes all at once!  We found that to be unacceptable. So, in order to do something about it, Ken felt led to run for town council.  He ended up winning!  Here is a picture of the Wilmington newspaper that reported the story.  Ken ran on a platform of “Roll Back the Tax.”  Unfortunately, it will be a steep uphill fight against the powers that be, to get that done.

In April, we traveled to Ohio, to the American Council of Churches (ACCC) spring rally.  We went to try to help facilitate the possible joining of the ACCC with the International Council of Christian Churches (ICCC), which went well.  On the way there, we worshipped with the Bible Presbyterian Church of Apollo, PA.  The church is doing well in spite of the recent ill health of their pastor, Jerry Gardner.  We also visited Ken’s sister, Claudia, near Cincinnati.

Finally, in May, we attended the funeral of Bonnie Leithmann’s mother northwest of Philadelphia.  It was good to see Bonnie, the former mailroom supervisor at the IBPFM office. Bonnie was forced to resign due to severe problems with her eyes.

Thanks again for all your prayers and support.

In His service,
Ken and Ira Olson
